Did you know?

Blood/Blood Product Transfusion records are kept for 50 years?!

Please make sure you are filling out the record entirely. Transfusion medicine has been receiving quite a few records missing information (vitals, start time, end time, amount transfused).

Patient Stickers on Equipment

Please ensure you are putting patient stickers directly onto beds, cribs, side tables etc. They are very difficult to get off and the wrong sticker for the patient has been found in rooms lately. Do your part to keep our patients safe :)

Friendly Reminder:

USE PEWS at handover.

Why?
* It will help keep PEWs in our everyday conversations
* It helps Managers ID patients with higher needs, this helps us validate staff and keep us in the loop on where support is needed.
