either case they will update us asap. Further
work with pharmacy BDM distribution and coding to be finalized

NEW!
Q-card Measles - a quick guide to testing for Measles (3 tests to collect for suspected Measles). Found in both the Unit's recipe box & on the S-drive (measles folder).
Tube feed pumps are here! Please reach out to resource/charge nurse for support and review learning notes provided by the sign in sheets (QR code in learning folder for quick video). We do still have old bags on the ward if you need an old bag for an old pump.
From Sharon and Tammy:
Hello everyone! We are finally a team of 2! We are excited to be a part of this fantastic team and look forward to meeting all of you in person. Please pop by our offices if we haven't met you in person.
A HUGE thank you to Gail Fox who has been a tremendous support to all of us this month! 👋
Scent free- a reminder to all that we are a scent free facility. We do have staff and families that are very sensitive to scent so consideration of this is appreciated. Please note, this applies to all staff and we would ask that a gentle reminder to patient's families upon admission would be greatly appreciated as well.. If you think more signage would be helpful, let us know.
This Saturday- The Foundation and a few Roughriders will be here on Saturday May 3rd for filming from 09-1430. They will primarily be in the playroom on the ward and on the main floor.
Orange Shirt Day - in
the spirit of ongoing reconciliation, SHA staff and physicians are encouraged
to wear orange on the last Friday of every month as a visible and meaningful
step in advancing reconciliation across the SHA.
Red Dress Day- Red Dress Day is a National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two Spirit persons. IWG2S persons are at a greater risk of abuse and violence due to factors beyond their control: gender, cultural heritage, gender identity, poverty, colonialism. Please feel free to wear a red shirt on Monday May 5th to recognize this day.
Bereavement Space- the Child Life team is wanting to look at ways they can support our staff immediately following the loss of our patients on the ward. As a result, this past Wednesday, the Zone was opened up to staff to provide a safe space off the ward to debrief and have time to reflect or write a note to the family. We would love your feedback on how we can inform staff that the space is open for this purpose. If you did attend, did you find it a useful space? Is there a better way to support staff?
A collection has been started for C.T's family. Please see facebook post sent out re: details if you wish to participate.
Have a great weekend!!
