FROM PHARMACY:
Hello everyone,
We continue to have many
short notice requests to our pharmacists for patient pass meds and/or
medications to go prior to discharge.
Wherever possible, pharmacy
team members strive to have a rapid response to these requests but kindly
request that team members not utilize paging/connecting via Vocera to request
accelerated delivery. Similarly, pharmacy will no longer provide additional
dosage accessories (e.g. EnFit connectors) as these are readily accessible on
wards.
Pass meds and meds to go for
discharge planning will be made available to wards according to established
standardized delivery schedules for medications.
Thank you.

Coming Soon - Go-Live date October 21 - Ready Set Eat program for patient meals.
Don't stress! This program will be a wonderful option for families that are in the hospital. Here is a quick video on how families can use it for their admitted child: https://youtu.be/WiN08ljdb7U We know this is a big change! We recognize it seems like more work will be added to your plate (pun intended). Support from Food & Nutrition Services & CNEs will be on the unit the afternoon of Oct 20 & in the morning of Oct 21 with more support throughout the week. There will be in-the-moment learning as we all get familiar with how this will work.
The process of our Registered Dietician being in charge of meal ordering for our Eating Disorder patients will not be changing. More information to come next week.
As a parent who had toddlers in the hospital for a few days, being able to get food they would actually eat (and at their "home" meal times) would have taken my stress level down. π It's a win for Family Centered Care.

π Staff Scheduling the Quick Dial Number to has NOT changed. If
employees call any other number and it asks for the Person ID number they are
using the wrong number and need to call the number that they have always called

Epidural & Pyxis - you must remove the epidural bag from Pyxis the following way:
