PIPD Update April 17, 2026

Hello team!
Here’s your weekly update—grab a coffee and enjoy the read!

Sweatshirt Update

We want to start off  to address the Sweatshirt Order.  We would like to apologize for the quick decision to remove the Seven Sundays logo from the recent sweatshirt order. In hindsight, we recognize that we should have paused and consulted staff on whether to proceed without the logo or cancel the order entirely.

The initial sweatshirt order occurred before the social media incident, and the second order was placed shortly afterward. The decision to remove the logo was made in an effort to distance our organization from the situation.

We did not anticipate that the teddy bear design would also be removed. Going forward, we will aim to be more thoughtful in both our decision-making process and in selecting branding for staff apparel.

We sincerely apologize for any frustration or disappointment this caused💛

Cybersecurity Reminder

A quick nudge to keep everyone on track:

  • If someone missed the training, have them email SHADigitalHealth@saskhealthauthority.ca and the team will help get things sorted.
  • If you haven’t completed your module yet, keep an eye out for an email from noreply@terranova.com (sent to your work email). That’s your access point—give your inbox (and maybe junk folder) a quick search and get it done!

 ICRA Protocol Update

The ICRA protocol is now live on the unit—great work everyone!

  • Check out the huddle board and blog for details.
  • If you haven’t completed the eLearning yet, please do so as soon as you can.

You’ll now find a purple folder in each EPP box, complete with all the tools you need (sleeves, indicators, and forms). If supplies run low, just give the UA team a heads-up so they can restock.

 PPE Cart Refresh

A small but important change: PPE cart tops should now stay clear, with only wipes and hand sanitizer on top. This applies both inside rooms and when carts come out of droplet/contact+ rooms. Let’s give it a try and keep things streamlined!

Staff Safety Survey (2026–27) 2026 2027 Annual Staff Safety Survey

Deadline: May 8
Your voice matters! This short survey is all about your day-to-day experience and how safe and supported you feel at work.

Your feedback will directly shape future staff safety priorities—so please take a few minutes to share your perspective. Every response helps make our workplace better for everyone.

 Payroll FYI

There have been a few questions about stat pay on Saturday April 4th. Here’s the scoop:
This will be an issue with the cut off for the pay period being at the same time as the start of the Stat time on Sat. NX staff on the 4th will see the after midnight stat hours on their next pay as it is applied to the 5th.

Pediatric Pain Management Resource Pediatric Pain Management

Exciting news—this new resource is now live thanks to a fantastic working group effort! 🎉Jon Melville, Carmen (NICU CNE) Tanzly & Lynette were the working group putting this together.  It is now live – check it out!
