Abby M for taking 2 admits and caring for a sick patient

Jan 23 Nx team for working so well together and manage a very busy and acute ward. Everyone was willing to jump in and help their coworkers out with tasks, admissions, transfusions, and providing support.

From SHA news - "I want to take this time to send out my deepest thanks to the paramedics in Saskatoon, and the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital for everything they did for our son over the past week. Dr.Faisal, Dr. Hewitt, Dr. Thorton, Dr. Parker, Dr. Prasad and all the nurses that cared for him during our admission; it was second to none and we are eternally grateful." - Leeann

Cybersecurity - there are still some who have not completed their mandatory cybersecurity. A list has been posted at the huddle board so if you are unsure please check if your name is appearing. Please complete this asap.

  • all incomplete staff members will receive the cybersecurity training link every Wednesday. Alternatively, staffs can search their inbox for an email from noreply@terranovasite.com  to find the link.
Contacting teachers on Vocera - some slight changes in Vocera to better connect people with the right teacher. If you want a specific teacher it's their first name followed by Peds Teacher.

         "Marty Peds Teacher"

-       "Karen Peds Teacher"

If it doesn't matter, or if you don't remember our first names, then it's just Peds Teacher.

Changes to contacting ECG techs - RE: Accessing ECG Services at JPCH - EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 3, 2025
Non-Invasive Cardiology is currently using a hybrid model (Pager and Vocera) for communication to access ECG services at RUH / JPCH. We have had a positive experience with Vocera use at Emergency and will be moving forward with Vocera only for all of JPCH.
Connecting with an ECG Technologist can be achieved through the following:
• SHA VOIP Phone - Dial 0202
• Cell Phone – Dial (306) 655-0202
• Calling the ECG Technologist Position using the Vocera badge
Vocera badges will be assigned to a role using the following naming:
• ED ECG – ECG services to Adult and Peds Emergency – Using one of the contact methods above when prompted say “ED ECG”
• JPCH (all units / areas) - Using one of the contact methods above when prompted:
o 0800-16:15 Monday to Friday say “JPCH ECG”
o 16:15-08:00 Monday to Friday, Saturday, Sunday and stats (24 hours) say “ED ECG”
